P90 Aftermath

I started the program back in September. I was consistent for 70 days but I stumbled in November. I tried to do week 11 three times and then stopped for about 2 weeks. I also had additional workouts for the first 8 weeks and then stopped them starting on week 9. Eventually I started up again. I enjoyed the sculpting portion of the program more than the cardio. The cardio portion can be boring but I used music to motivate me. I also only did the abs workout 70% of the time. Working on abs after cardio isn’t fun.

In the end, I lost about 8 lbs. The area around my knees and elbows look different. I think my face looks thinner. Since I didn’t measure myself on day one, the changes I noticed were through how my clothes fit which isn’t that much of a big difference. My current weight isn’t new to me since I was about this weight about two years ago. I will probably do P90 again in a few months and this time do them consecutively for 90 days.

Day 48 Rest

I don’t know why but my hamstrings have been tight this week. I had to do extra stretching (stretching my calves helped too). I only do waist height kicks and I could feel my hamstrings complaining. Hopefully, after today’s rest it will be better in tomorrow’s workout. Maybe I should do stretching workouts three times a week too. I want to be close to doing full splits like I was able to do years ago and even after doing weeks of karate it’s not happening right now. Next week I’m switching to phase 3-4 of P90. It should be interesting. I’m also going to do Tae Bo Cardio only and dropping Tae Bo Basic.

Day 41 Rest

Planning to increase dumbbell weight to 20lb next week on most of the Sculpt exercises. Then I plan to switch to Sculpt and Cardio 3-4 in 2 weeks.  I’m going to keep alternating between TAEBO Basic and Cardio in the following weeks. Basic still keeps my heart pumping and Cardio just seems slow and longer.

Average: 1303 calories (36g fat, 168g carbs, 80g protein)
I sometimes didn’t eat the recommended 1200 calories a day due to skipping breakfast.

From the article How to Diet Without Starving, my daily calories should total 1581 (F:52g, C:159g, P:119g). I’ll shoot for 1500 calories this coming week and will try eating 4 times a day. I only feel hungry during meal times and late in the afternoon.

Ab Wheel…the next day

I woke up with my neck, abs, and my whole back sore. As the day progressed, my rear delts were sore too. And to think I just did 3 sets of 7 reps. I think I’ll just do rollouts once a week for now.
